Welcome Howie
Meet Howie! If you are like me you have probably followed his story. He has lost a great amount of weight. He was adopted out but it just didn't work. So now he is with us while waiting for his forever home.
He is an absolute wonderful Iggy!
Howies Quirks
~ bigger than most, so that makes him very sturdy.
~ has a great recall, something Iggy's are not known for.
~ walks so great on a leash that you don't even know he is there!
~ loves to snuggle, with everyone.
~ is living with cats, I wouldn't say he was a fan of cats but he can live amongst them.
~ loves big kids (5 and up), likes little kids (4 and under)
~ lets those little kids pull and tug and crawl all over him
~ scared of any dog that is bigger than him (we will work on this fear, but for now no big dogs that will be around often)
~ he can eat you out of house and home and himself. He will need some one who is willing to commit to his schedule. Even better if he had a home that his people were grain free! so they wouldn't accidently feed him pizza crust.
~ he is crate trained! though I know he is just waiting to share a bed with someone.
~ he does not like flies, he will chase them through the house until he has caught his prey.
~ he is COMPLETELY potty trained from day one. He will wait at the door and if you happen to not see him he will woof gradually louder until you let him out. Worse case scenario he will come get you and take you to the door!
~ he does have separation anxiety, he doesn't chew or destroy anything but is genuinely upset when you leave. In his crate or left out he does settle down after a little bit.
~ he would love a busy household where some one is home and there are kids to be cuddled and played with.
